10/22/2020 NFL Week 6- New Jersey Giants at Philadelphia Eagles Preview

In another thrilling Thursday night matchup, the putrid Giants take the short bus ride to Lincoln Financial Field, where the horrendous Eagles wait for them. Somebody has to win this one, so lets take a look at recent trends. The Eagles fought gamely against Baltimore in the second half last week, overcoming a 17 point early deficit to cover, a missed 2 point conversion away from the tie. The Giants were beneficiaries of the Washington Football Team’s decision to go for two points and the win at the end of last week’s game. When the Giants have the ball, I feel like the Eagles have a huge advantage. Their bend but don’t break defense relies big plays from Fletcher Cox and Darius Slay, and Giants QB Daniel Jones can be turnover prone. Eagles QB Carson Wentz can be maddeningly inconsistent, but he should put up decent numbers against the sieve that is the Giants defense. As far as totals go, Thursday night football has gone over the total 7 of the last 9 games. That trend is too strong to overlook.
The Pick: Eagles -4
Bonus Pick: Over 45
