6/4/21- Seattle Mariners at Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Preview

So the last week I have been out of town, on vacation in Denver with my friend’s 90 year old father. It may sound horrible, but its really been like Dirty Grandpa 2. Days involve breakfast at BK, driving aimlessly around the city, and beers at the Eagles Lodge. When he passes out between 6 and 7, I can explore the city a bit. Went to the Rockies/Rangers game yesterday, will share thoughts the next Rox game I handicap. Anyway, with mobile betting legal in Colorado, I claimed a free $20 bet to use today. After going through the schedule, I was looking for the game most likely to hit without a ridiculous price. My search led me to E. Katella Boulevard in sunny Anaheim, where the Mariners arrive to take on the Angels. Seattle starter Robert Dugger has not won a game in 10 career starts. His 6.23 ERA is actually a major improvement over the ungodly 12.66 mark he posted last year with Florida. When healthy, Angel starter Shohei Ohtani is one of the big stars in the league. He is a serviceable pitcher, and his 15 home runs is 2 off the league lead. The M’s have won 7 out of 10, which is what makes this line somewhat reasonable. That said, the Angels have the 2 best players in this ball game with Mike Trout and Ohtani. Their increased ability to make an impact will be what swings this game for the Angels.
The Pick: LAA -165
