8/24/21 MLB- Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at Baltimore Orioles Preview

I have a list of guidelines to live by for the self help book I’ll never write. Don’t be dick. Hugs not drugs. Never get in a car with DMX. Don’t date anyone from California (and likely Idaho too.) And as of late, always go against Baltimore on the run line. Yet all guidelines are meant to be broken. Years ago when I got my wisdom teeth pulled and I came to from the anesthesia, I remember being shocked by the amount of blood. The oral surgeon looked at me and deadpanned “All bleeding stops.” This applies here. Dylan Bundy was supposed to be the Angels ace. Instead, he rarely makes it through the 4th inning, and has a season ERA north of 6. While August has been a month to forget for Oriole starter Spenser Watkins, he put together a string of good outings in July. The Orioles do have a few major league caliber players in their lineup in Cedric “The Entertainer” Mullins, Trey Mancini and Ryan Mountcastle. They know what the public is saying about them, and they have no desire to be a part of this dubious record. They are also running out of time, as they are at 18 straight losses and the American League record is 21. Look for the Orioles to show some pride and break the streak tomorrow. Take the run if it helps you sleep. Let’s get paid!
The Pick: Orioles +1.5 (+120)
