9/27/21 NFL- Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys Preview

No one likes the IRS. No one likes mosquitos. No one likes techno music. And no one likes the Dallas Cowboys. Well, at least no one intelligent outside of North Texas, or the last school I taught at in Las Vegas. All 3 of the administrators were Cowboy fans for some reason, and I really wanted to light a table on fire and throw the assistant principal through it. But, do we want to laugh at the Cowboys or make some money? Despite having some talented veterans sprinkled in, particularly on the defensive side of the ball, the Eagles are rebuilding. No one knows if Jalen Hurts is the answer, and as much as I admire new coach Nick Sirianni’s offseason paper rock scissors tournaments, I am not impressed by them beating Atlanta. The Cowboys on the other hand, game Tampa Bay all they could handle week 1, and followed up with an impressive road victory against a Charger team who may be better than expected. Dak Prescott is playing like a man with something to prove, and Ceedee Lamb, Amari Cooper and Blake Jarwin are some nice weapons for him. Ezekiel Elliott will likely never be the elite back he thinks he is, but he and Tony Pollard are both above average, and are generally successful running behind an elite offensive line. With the game at Jerry World, Dallas should be favored by about a touchdown. But for some reason, it is only 3-3.5. If you can get it at 3, jump on it, if not, consider buying the half point, but I expect Dallas to win by one to two scores.
The Pick: Cowboys -3
