10/8/21 MLB- Boston Red Sox at Tampa Bay Rays Preview

At press time of this preview, 5 MLB playoff games have been completed. The under is 4-0-1 in those games. While it will likely not match the magical run of 13 straight unders in the NHL bubble of 2020, I look for the streak to continue at least a bit longer. The intensity level will be high at Tropicana Field. The Red Sox, who desperately need to win coming off of last night’s 5-1 loss, bring ace and former Cy Young winner Chris Sale to the hill. Sale has looked good since returning from injury, sporting a 5-1 record. The Rays counter with super rookie Shane Baz. Baz has looked good in limited outings this season. The Rays would not be trusting him in this situation if they expected him to fold. These teams will play defense first, and will come down to a few timely hits, key miscues, or more of Randy Arozarena’s shenanigans. It should be anyone’s game, but it should finish somewhere around 4-2.

The Pick: Under 7.5 (-115)
