At this time a year ago, we were blessed with Drake basketball. They were a machine, running over opponents and covering in the process. The Monmouth Hawks could be that team this year. This is their best team since 2015-2016, featuring the famous “bench mob” and subsequent memes. Most people probably haven’t thought about them since, but its most likely time. The Hawks are undefeated at home, as well as against the spread. They play a stifling defense, and have great scorers like George Papas and Shavar Reynolds to make you pay. Hofstra has been up and down this year. The Dutchmen are coming off a big win at Arkansas, which helps keep this line somewhat low. Don’t be fooled, they also lost by 17 to Stony Brook. This game will likely be competitive for a large chunk, but look for Monmouth’s streak to continue.
